"crash" by paul haggis.

It's specially comfortable to present to you this movie. A whole of different lives that are interconnected each others in a genial, smart and moving way. Several people in their complex existences, with their own problems, coming from the daily basis... some people like you, or like me, like everybody, struggling for surviving, in ways not so unequal...

They have jobs, habits, things to be afraid of, or to be proud of. All of them, mixed, mingled, in the middle of their paths, that sometimes crash to the rest.

All of this, has much more to do with our aim in life rather than with the relationships among white and black, Chinese people and so on. Racial matters, are just a very tiny part of the main idea of the film. Because one thing is crystal clear: we have to live together, sharing resources, workplaces, likings, even fears, dreams, projects. It's as simple as to realize we are not alone on earth, and we should become aware about the importance of trying to be empathetic, by putting ourselves just for one second within the minds of others...

And this is the movie about. Who cares if one is black or white or from China? The important thing is we all are the same, with feelings, with moods susceptible of behave in many different ways in a very short time, result of acts, thoughts, plans, or frame of minds.

Every story is showed in a artistic inspired way.

If you like introspective films, laden with meaning, very good performances, a really good casting, and an exceptional soundtrack, go immediately and be ready to make the most of every instant. You'll thank. G.P.

The World's Fastest Indian. By Roger Donaldson.

"I always wanted to do something big in my live", says Hopkins in one the moments of the movie. This movie presents us the Burt Munro's real story when in 1967 he broke the land-speed world record at Utah's Bonneville Salt Flats with a motorcycle from the 20's. But beyond all of that, this movie is a homage to dreams by which we can justify every moment in life, specially the bad ones.

Burt Munro was waiting all his life for trying to achieve his dreams. He led a very simple life without any excess. He lived just for his dreams.

This movie is simple unmissable. It constitutes a paradigm, a path through which we should walk. No matter the obstacles, no matter the inconveniences... if you endeavour anything, then absolutely nothing is impossible.

But you have to believe... and first of all, in yourself. High hopes must fill out all the areas of your spirit. Burt Munro got his Rainbow being 68 years old. Aged 68 as a body, but eternally young as a soul. He will never give up persevering trying to get his motorcycle faster and faster. That was his dream, and it made him feel alive. In one moment of the movie, one of his friends, the little boy asks him: "don't you get scared by going so fast?" The response genial: "you live more in five minutes on the motorcycle than other in a life time".

Because it's all about living, not just existing. Hopkins says in relation to it: "if you don't pursue your dreams, you become a vegetable". If you don't try to do something big with your life, what will be the final balance at the inevitable conclusion?

The script, direction, performances -Anthony Hopkins gives us away an unforgettable proof of his expertise as a actor-, soundtrack, sceneries, are simply extraordinary surrounding us in an atmosphere magical and tender.

When reading this humble lines, you'll be on time to get your dreams. Even if it'd be for just one second, it would be more than enough. Search your dreams. It's not too late. But Time is inexorable and this amazing opportunity called Life, unique.

It depends on you, just on you.

Watching this movie would make easy the procedure.

And please, dream! dream as much as you can. That's the first step.

"world trade center". BY OLIVER STONE.

"Close your eyes and you will see more than that". Jack Kerouac.

Some of the cruellest events ever... on that 9/11...

This movie is a homage not only to those who were able to survive but to those who believe in a better world, in places where there is no room for hatred, violence, rage, bombings... a homage to the human race... a positive homage... a homage in terms of faith and reconciliation... in Salvation...

Because one of the most important truths, -and certainly, truth does exist-, is that we all are just one...

Sometimes we just need something to believe in... with all our strengths, something pure... something that is going to make us much better than what we could ever probably think...

We are before a piece of reconciliation by which everybody should take the blame in order to accept the fact that just by trying to understand others is the only way to keep going in peace... it's all about tolerance, it's all about a try to consider all of us the same... no matter what... all together, supporting each others, faithfully, as just one...

Throughout history, Law defines the limits by everyone has to behave. And once there, there is not possibilities of blending that line, because this line represents countless generations of people who made this world such an amazing place...

World Trade Center, is an essential movie in order not to forget what we are, and what we might do in order to feel proud of ourselves.

Magnificent performances from the actors... a superb soundtrack by the Scottish composer Craig Armstrong and a direction simply extraordinary.

Some things are there in order to transform us into what we were born for... into something great and beautiful...

One life, one opportunity... one chance to try to touch the stars...

And in the end... just yourself... and the next paragraph is just up to you... up to you...     G.P.

Both David and Rafi, will discover step by step the pros and cons of this relationship in which David's mother appears to be in a main role because at the same time is the Rafi's counsellor.

The movie is filmed in New York City. Nice views and an excellent soundtrack complement a film really interesting about topics as essential as Love, friendship and relationship between parents, sons and daughters.

"300"

Extraordinary movie, a retelling of the Battle of Thermopylae. Dilios, a Spartan soldier, narrates the story of Leonidas, from boyhood to the throne of Sparta. Years later, Persian messengers arrive at the gates of Sparta demanding it submit to the King Xerxes. Leonidas and his guards kill the messengers knowing that this action was going to imply the war against the Persians.

Leonidas visits the priests called Ephors, whose blessing he needs before the Spartan council to authorize going to war. The Ephors consult the Oracle who decrees that Sparta must not go to war during their religious festival.

Leonidas decides otherwise, gathering 300 soldiers, which he calls his personal guard to avoid needing the council's permission. He knows it is a suicidal mission, but he hopes the sacrifice will spur the council to unite against Persia.

The battle is called The Battle of Thermopylae fought between an alliance of Greek-states, led by Sparta, and the Persian Empire of Xerxes I over the course of three days, during the second Persian invasion of Greece, around the year 480 BC.  According to the Historian Heredoto, the Persian army had around 2 million of soldiers against the 7000 of the Greek alliance  led by the Leonidas and his 300 Spartans.

The performance of the different characters reaches a high level. The special effects are very well made, with an excellent soundtrack.

Beyond the aspects like the historic accuracy, this movie is a homage to values, principles summarized in the sentence: "Never give up, never surrender". If you hold a moral value, a series of principles, you are committed to them, no matter what, because they become the guide of your whole existence. It is what happened so many centuries ago, when a bunch of brave soldiers, gave their lives advocating for a better future, in the hope of much better generations to come.

The Road. By John Hillcoat.

Suddenly, the beginning of the end. Nobody knows what happened. One day, everything seemed to be normal, and the next one... the destruction, the hopelessness... cities destroyed, animals extinct, the skies greyish and cold...

Not other option... just the survival, the obstinacy to keep going, to go forward, until the end of the road... that road that the two main characters, -the son and the papa-, are following... in their way to the South where probably the conditions are others, more benign... perhaps...

Destination South... we could name it... Destination Hope... in a world falling apart made of pieces of memory from a previous life that seems to have happened millions of years ago...

This film is about that... about the Road these protagonists have to lead... the Road we all have to go through... It is the same road... decorated with ups and downs, with uncertainties and fears... the Holy Road so many times adored by so many throughout the History.

We are before an excellent movie, an authentic road trip without proper roads, cars or highways. It is the road trip to the next station, where everything is possible if you persevere on your beliefs.

The soundtrack is as well very good. Tender tunes to accompany the ordeals of people who have to find multiple reason to keep going and never give up. Because there is not regrets when you never surrendered.

A must seen movie. Great performances and captivating script.

The Road, our road. Maybe it is all about the way we do it...
